About us

Global Packaging Development LLC (GPD) is a custom thin-gauge thermoformer of packaging products located in Batavia, IL, about 40 miles west of Chicago.

GPD was established in 2019 through the acquisition of another thermoformer. Our owners, Mark Faber and Bill Mechar have over 40 years of experience in thermoforming and extrusion. We are very fortunate to have an excellent workforce, with our employees having an average of 15 years of experience.

While our thermoforming capabilities emphasize recycled materials such as RPET and RPVC, we also manufacture products requiring PP, HIPS, PE, and other materials. We utilize Sencorp thermoformers, giving us the ability to form products with a gauge range of .010"-.080" and dimensions up to 34”x 30”.

We also specialize in ESD (Electro-Static Dissipative) products for the Electronics, Computer, and Automotive Industries.

 In addition to manufacturing, we can provide a full range of Design, Prototyping, and Tooling services 

 GPD is ISO 9001:2015 Certified to give you the assurance that the packaging products we make are of the highest standards. We provide products to clients that have strict quality standards and testing, such as the U.S. Department of Defense.

We provide products to Retail, Electronics, Automotive, Food, Pharma, Government Agencies, and others.

We also offer Outsourcing and Contract Manufacturing to other packaging companies to help with overflow needs; increasing your capacity and flexibility
